| Our Singers
|
|
The heart and soul of Hickory Choral
Society is its singers. Today, some 150 singers blend their
voices in harmony, brought together by a common devotion to musical
excellence. Our members come from all over the Hickory Metro Area and
from a variety of professions. Many of the singers are, or have been,
professional musicians, and those who are not have had considerable training
and experience in the music field. Auditions
for new singers are held each spring for the following season.
Find below a listing of the HCS Singers for the
2003-2004 season.

St Martin-in-the-Fields
London, England June, 1997
Sing again,
with your dear voice revealing
A tone
Of some world
far from ours,
Where music and moonlight and feeling
Are one.
~Percy Bysshe Shelley~

Altos always find the conductor's "analogies" to be quite humorous.

It wouldn't be retreat without the group photo.

Jealous of the ladies' new dresses, basses model alternate men's attire for the
1999-2000 concert season.

The basses catch up on what everyone did during the summer.
